Brockman had some very nice dunks.. Greene's Wingspan makes his dunks look too easy.. Brockman wins. The first dunk he knocked down was pretty vicious..

Greene's dunk off the back of the backboard was sweet.

And what have they done for their respected teams? Greene has just been a regular rotation guy for the sorry Kings and Gay has led his team nowhere.

Jon Brockman is a Chuck Hayes type player on the court. And even Jon Brockman(!) can try dunks that were contest level from years back. Its not that the dunk contest has gotten bad. (It has), but its more how 50% of the players can now do dunks that Dr J did.

When you see kids on the local court do between the legs dunks that was once thought "spectacular". it takes the luster off dunk contests.

What does that have to do with anything? You can't base how good/bad Greene has been in Sacto on how good he could've been here. Gay has been in the league for 3 years, this is the first year they actually had some talent around in the tough western conference. I never claimed anything, I just think both trades were terrible. Please... think a little next time before you try to belittle players.

I think you meant "you can't base how good/bad Green would've been here on how he has been in Sacramento."

That's why it's wise to avoid personal insults.

You're familiar with Spanoulis, TMac, and Swift. They all had great potential. Ultimately potential doesn't mean anything until it's realized. We were in win-now mode and Battier and Artest were both key pieces given that strategy. The Yao/TMac window was closing and unfortunately management's attempts to build around that duo led to bad moves... in hind sight. Unfortunately hind sight is not worth much.

Today we are in a different phase; McGrady is gone and Yao's situation has changed. The nucleus and culture of the team is different. Gay's and Greene's value today is not what it was when the trades were made.

Spilled milk. Sunk costs. Adieu. Farewell. Happy trails.

Bingo. It's flashy dunk inflation. The special effects from the Matrix were once amazing. But now that you see bullet-time effects in amateur youtube videos it's really nothing special.
