I always wanted to know. I went to the game against the Sonics afew weeks ago, and I swear his arms are freakin long as hell. I know it's random, but anyone know his wingspan?

i am pretty sure tmac's wingspan is 7'3

yao's wingspan is 7'5 (which is short for a basketballl player since his height is 7'6 and a bit)

That in large part is what makes Yao so unique. His body is perfectly in proportion which is nice considering how big the man is. However it's also a negative since having longer arms means a better reach to shoot over someone and block shots.

tmac doesnt look like his wingspan is 7'3. 7'1 would be the better guess. kevin durant's wingspan is 7'4 and at 6'9, he looks like he could tie his shoes standing straight up. maybe its because tmac has more bulk than durant, but tmac's arms dont look anywhere close to being as long as durant's.

Wow, what a special Durant! That is unbelievable, 7'4 at 6'9.

Thats what I was thinking also but Tmac's wingspan is listed from 7'1" to 7'4" which is why he is almost impossible to block except from behind.

Yeah, I would also like his ACTUAL height.

I've heard 6'8 as the normal but KG said he's closer to 6'9, 6'10 and he looks pretty close to being as tall as 6'11 players when standing next to them.

btw, i think Durant has a 7'5" wingspan! And 7'1" for Tmac sounds about right.

What was Hakeem's wingspan? Steals and blocks sometimes looked impossible but he somehow got to the ball. I'm sure his wingspan helped.

Wingspan is nice to talk about, but standing reach is more important for basketball players. Although Yao does not have long wingspan relative to his height, but nobody can touch his standing reach which makes it a big advantage for him.

    According to his official pre-draft measurements, Yao's wingspan is 7' 4 3/4"

    http://nbadraft.net/2002predraftmeasurements.htm

Short in relation to his height for an athlete, but everything else being equal, it's still a huge wingspan. I'm sure Yao is still in the top ten in the league in wingspan, so he's not exactly T-rex out there.
