They should have never committed all that money to Lamarcus Aldridge.

Their cap is screwed, and the have a real pg problem. Parker is a shell of himself, and with Aldridge in the fold, they no longer have an elite passing game.

They essentially addressed the wrong issue. It would have been far better for them keep splitter, because splitter and Kawhi could have still given them an elite interior defense in the paint.

With a 34 year old tony parker, no real cap space, an offense that is built on old style basketball, and Manu and Tim (even if they come back, are no help), this will finally put the nails in the coffin for this team.

They can't beat any of the top 4 teams: clippers, okc, gs and they'd have a tough time beating portland and dallas.

Are you kidding? They have their most wins in franchise history and if it wasn't for Golden State's historical season, they would be the number one seed. They can beat GS in 7. It's not beyond the realm of possibility. In fact, I pick the Spurs to beat GS in 7. And they might win a championship if they beat GS.

    So...whatever.

Hahahaha yea a Leonard-aldridge core is a terrible thing. The spurs will have no problem re-tooling. We are talking about a team that dropped one home game this season.

What keeps talking about the SPURS. Why? Most likely insecurity and envy.

I think they made a mistake. Plus, the committed 10 million to danny green. They just don't have a real out to improve.

Plus, other than kawhi, they haven't drafted very well the last few years. It's going to be tough.

Of course they're not going to draft well - they keep doing well in the regular season, so obviously their first round pick is going to be in the low 20s.

They don't fit the mold of teams needing to go out and getting a superstar player. They can just find the next Diaw/Mills/scrub and be just fine.

Is what actually stupid or is he a contrarian with no analytical skill that yhrows **** at a wall until something sticks?

That's the question we should be asking ourselves.

This might be the best SA team ever. They can absolutely beat GS. Playoff style of basketball is what they thrive for. Its why the thunder swept them in the regular season and the spurs still b**** slapped them in the playoffs.

They're a 67 win team. They don't need to improve.

Splitter? The Spurs have Aldridge and Leonard, and you're talking about Splitter? Not even a good NBA player, but Splitter?

Their scouting department is top notch and they need Aldridge to fill Duncan's shoes after he retires. Some games, Duncan doesn't even play or comes off the bench very minimally.

The Danny green signing is a mystery, sure, but they have incredible depth and are very unselfish. They all know how to pass; people like Boris Diaw has resurrected his career here
