http://www.ajc.com/print/content/epaper/editions/wednesday/sports_f372766291d6401100eb.html the rockets have a big space to fill at the small forward spot. (unless boston nachbar puts up.) so why not sign dion glover. hes a good defender, and is a free agent.
i wouldn't object to dion glover as a back up, but if we're looking at him as a starter i think we're in bad shape.
but he did get time at the small forward position due to glen robinson being injured at atlanta. hell, i think he would make a good small forward. hell, piatkowski's only 6-6, but the rockets want him at the three. LMAO.
He's kind of built like a 4, but he's only 6-3. He's a 3. It's not about height, it's about skill set. Off the top of my head list of 6-5 small forwards... Mario Ellie, Adrian Dantley, Latrell Sprewell, Kendall Gill Michael Curry...I'm sure are tons, I just can't come up with any more off the top of my head. j
Curry is 6'6 Kendall Gill and Sprewell were and are both better suited to play SG. It's only when thre was significant wear and tear on their ankles that they moved to the 3, and both of their numbers dropped dramatically when that happened. Glover's a decent 2, and would be a barely average 3.
He sucks, so I don't know why I bother, but....
