    Synopsis:

Ballard believes Moreyball is based around luck and getting into the best position to get lucky (aka Harden).. We all know this already

The individual moves were impressive but were not very emphatic until he pulled the trigger

He believes teams with GM's using these analytics (like Morey and Presti) are ahead of the pack and in the next 5 years other teams are going to have to get over their dismissal of it and adopt it as well

He also credits Les with being a supportive and entrepreneur allowing Morey to thrive

No one on the rockets roster told Ballard they feel like an asset (he alluded this might be because they are young), he feels that players coming to the rockets would have to feel a little wary of the front office

Morey told him; they would love to have a family mentor culture like OKC but he feels they need the right players before building the right culture

Ballard, from the outside looking in on the Rockets, believes that as a basketball fan, houston has always had players someone can appreciate and enjoy. But on a national level, there was not enough hype to warrant relevancy until now with Lin and Harden (and somewhat with Morey haha)

Harden is not the endgame for Morey

On a lighter note: Morey is a dirty (but decent) basketball player haha
    Ballard leaves

Then Friedman and Ackerman talked about the van gundy brothers being good analysts (not sure why? potential hiring of Stan?)

Talking about Jones recalled from vipers:
He was sent down to get playing time and brought back during breaks in rgv schedules to practice with the rockets

The D league assignment of rookies has been a proven path for success many times (ROYCE...)

Friedman says we are currently in the top 3 teams offensively (22nd in defence but pleasingly 1st in pace)

Patterson has been instructed by the Rox to shoot the 3 because he already shoots long range mid shots so why not increase the reward by stepping out a little bit more (almost 39% on 3 atm)

As a team, a lot of 3's are wide open opportunities because of the threat Harden is to the defense.

Lin is a proven driver and is improving his shot but is contributing more due to the spacing of the 3 point shooters opening driving lanes off the PnR

Friedman believes that if we can keep all five players on the court as threats we can continue to be a potent offensive team

They believe the Lakers will get their act together at some point this season as chemistry increases (hopefully it is not in their next game.. against us)

For the next game against the Lakers:
Ackerman thinks the key for the Rockets is for Asik to perform admirably against Dwight (he was overwhelmed by DH last time)

The lakers struggle with pace (we are no.1) and we might have to play even faster next game. They also struggle with the PnR.. It's going to be very high scoring
