Man I miss Yao. The dude is such a class act and I love his sense of humor.

I also miss Bill Walton calling games. That guy is so lovably nuts.

Bill Walton was damn near unbearable that game gushing about China nonstop.

Only 35 years old. Unbelievable. By todays NBA standards, he should have at least 2 more mid level years before he becomes an effective but limited playing time role player before retirement. We lost almost a decade worth of Yao Ming playing Center for us. :(

Such wasted talent, due to excessive playing in the summer for China and not good training staff.

Think about it. Dirk/Duncan/KG are still playing and they are 7 footers as well. Yao could be playing well into late 30s...

Not to hijack the thread, but how is it possible that Rudy T. isn't in the Hall of Fame? All-American in college, 2nd overall draft pick, NBA All-Star 5 times, two championships as a coach, coached the 2000 Olympic team to a gold medal. It's idiotic that this man hasn't been inducted yet.

    Trevor "Kobe" Ariza

One of the reasons why our offense is so terrible is because of Ariza. It feels like over half of his shot attempts are heavily contested. It's basically like having Kobe on our team on the offensive end. This is another reason why our coaching is terrible, if we had a competent coach he would make sure that we aren't having to go to Ariza iso so many damn times a game. Does nobody else in the Rockets organization notice how bad he is for our offense?

We go to him so often and VERY rarely does he ever make a contested shot. He either needs to stop taking those shots, be benched, or traded. Ariza is shooting 33.7% this year and at this point I'd rather throw out KJ and see what happens.
