That's awful. Life can be so unfair; what are those 5 kids going to do now without a mother? Does Monty retire from coaching in the nba to take care of those kids? Prayers out to all of them

Me too. Life can be so brutal when something like this can happen to a family like that.

I'm literally sick in the stomach. I hate stories like this. Plus I've always thought Monty seemed like a genuine stand up guy. Terrible

Really sad news. 5 children too left motherless.

I know you are not meant to speak ill of the dead, but who drives with dogs on their laps? These things make me really angry. Totally irresponsible and could be the reason for this tragedy.

He truly is. Talked to him for a while one day while he and his wife were at my job for a live TV show. They were a very genuine couple - great great people. My heart and prayers go out to Monty and his family.

RIP to Ingrid, and condolences to Monty and his family. He genuinely seems like one of the best men in the league, and I also immediately thought of the Ryan Anderson story.

And seriously, it's SO hard not to get livid thinking about the fact that all of this could have been avoided if the woman with the dog had simply put the dog in the back seat like you're supposed to (assuming it was something the animal did to cause her to lose control). It's so unsafe, and entirely unnecessary for someone to have their pet in their freaking laps when they're driving. I always get annoyed when I see it in traffic.

I have never seen anyone drive with a dog in their freaking lap. How is that not insane? It should be an offence that gets you fined and after repeats your lisence revoked.
I dont' care if your dog is a chiuahua or whatever. A dog is a dog.

As irresponsible and dangerous as driving drunk.
