Yahoo: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-power-rankings--there-s-a-new-no--1-174829398.html ESPN: http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings/_/year/2015/week/3 I hope the Rockets can sustain this. We as fans always want to see the Rockets get some love but the fan inside me is also worried about the jinx...
If they win tonight, I'll believe they're for real. And not because they knocked off the Grizz in Memphis, but because they finally overcame the Power Rankings jinx.
ESPN saying good things about us is like my mother in law stating I am the best son in law. Once, she can have the slightest reason to be mad at me, I am back in the doghouse.
We've benefited a great deal from playing sub .500 opponents or opponents with key pieces missing. Tonights game versus the griz is a key test. Road game versus a full strength griz, 2nd game of a back to back, should tell us a lot about ourselves.
Can't we just be ranked number 1 without being so moody about it? It's number freaking 1! I'm going to the game to make sure we get the W. Shooting just HAS to be better. Look for me in the Drexler jersey
Second night of a road b2b against a good team with a day off. This is a game that we should expect to lose. Winning would be a great indicator, but losing won't really tell us much.
Bad things happen when the media says good things about us Houston sports teams. That said, I personally could care less what any media idiot says about us. Rockets are always number one in my heart, even if not always in my head.
At this pace we will break the Bulls record. Is it possible? yes , Likely? no If we stay healthy we are honestly as good as anyone out there, and with so much focus on defense I don't see why we can't easily get 60+ wins.
I do my rankings on Tuesdays so I had the benefit of seeing us get destroyed before doing it but here's how I broke it down. http://larrylightning.wordpress.com/2014/11/18/week-3-nba-power-rankings/ Thanks for reading!
