The Rockets want Dwight to opt out so that he'll look like the bad guy ("well, we were ready to talk, but we wish him the best with his new team, except, of course, when that new team is playing against us").

Otherwise, if Dwight opts in, the Rockets'll have to trade him, and they'll look like the bad guys.

But if it came to that, "trade him they would" (Yoda syntax?). Teams were interested in Dwight at the trade deadline if he opted in. I don't know why people think we'd be stuck with him; but yes, it'd be a monkey wrench we'd have to deal with quickly.

Some of us knew bringing in Dwight would be a mistake. If he would have just come in and played the same role as Asik, only much better than Asik, he would have been great. Why he has this delusion that he is a post up player is beyond me. Does he ever watch film of himself? He never developed any basketball skills instead relying on his incredible athletic ability. No that his athletic ability is over the hill he has no game. It is really quite sad and pathetic to listen to him whine about this. Please do not opt in Dwight!!!!
