    Turning right to go up the "other" stairs means we had to walk around the building to get to the food/water. :(

    How is it they call it a 5k when you run only 2.8 miles?

    I think construction got in the way. I was so excited that I did two minutes less than last year, but turns out it wasn't even 5k. (I actually did worse than last year :()

    The 2.8 miles was a bummer. I thought I had a PR, but at least I finished top 3 in my age and got a cool pic with Clyde and the Power Dancers.

    Yeah, I was running with my Garmin so I knew something was fishy. You'd think they could have tacked on the 3 extra blocks somehow. Oh well.

    I liked my pace, but I really enjoyed helping my son get through the kids' portion. Shockingly, he was easily sidetracked when he saw the giant fuzzy shark and alligator giving high fives.

    :rolleyes: SRSLY?

    LOL! MATH FAIL. :grin:

    Did you graduate high school, at least?

    1k = .62 miles.

    It's not a "5mile" run... it's a 5K... actually just a little over 3 miles, but it's closest to 5k.

    those dang 17 year olds...Just wait until they get into college and then, instead of running they'll be drinking and we can watch their times go down with their bodies!
