Will be a tough game for Florida State, having lost to a 3-9 Georgia Tech team. In all seriousness it will be a tough game for UH. However it should be, it is a major bowl game.
Let's calm down.. the game meant nothing? Your undefeated season was on the line. I think it will be a good game -- FSU, talent-wise, should stomp UH but they haven't had a great year. Plus -- and don't attack me UH alumni -- FSU is playing UH, which isn't exactly a program that will get them excited to play. I could see FSU not really wanting to be there and UH beating them up for not showing up.
That's all that was on the line. Herman knew that in terms of our end-of-year-fate, nothing was at stake. That's why he held Ward out. Kyle Postma dislocated his shoulder in the first half and we nearly had to go to our emergency QB (Safety Adrian Wilson). We were preparing for Navy in the run-up to this game, and with good reason. We wanted to get out of there healthy. A win would have been nice, but it wouldn't have changed anything about this season.
