TDECU Stadium (haven't lost at home since December 2014 vs Cincy) Saturday 11am Line: Coogs -6.5 Total: 55 TV/Radio: ABC 13. KPRC 950am Weather: 60 degrees @ kickoff. No rain Coogs going for their 11th conference title in school history. Last meeting Coogs beat Temple 31-10 (4-0 vs temple all time) Fiesta Bowl here we come!!! Go Coogs!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, this time there will be a completely different outcome. This game won't be a blowout, but I think the Coogs win it 31-21.
Is Temple the best defense we'll play? They're definitely up there. I expect both sides to have some difficulty moving the ball.
Tickets are not selling as well as I thought they would. We had a good push on Tuesday but lost a lot of momentum yesterday. Still around 8,000 tickets left. Temple returned 2,950 of their 3,000 allotted tickets. Any ideas on why these tickets aren't selling the way tickets to the Navy game sold?
I think the walk-up will be huge, and ticket sales will quicken as we approach the weekend, but Temple only selling 50 tickets is insanely disappointing. I would have expected at least a minimum of 500... possibly up to 2000. What a joke.
I just did a little poking around and one of the reason ticket sales might be slow is that the conference is the one who set prices here, and prices for even some of the worst tickets in the house appear to have gone up as much as 50%. It might not sound like much, but it would be a little damper on ticket sales.
It might be because a majority of students are taking/preparing for finals, and that might take away the incentive for their friends/family to buy tickets. It also might be because of the lack of notice. I honestly had no idea when/where the championship game would be after the Navy game. Maybe it's common knowledge that the championship game is always the week after, but students weren't notified by e-mail until yesterday. Either way, go coogs!
Good. Put more Coogs in the stands. I remember in 2011 Southern Miss had that entire right corner filled. Temple probably will leave their band at home as well
Yep. The Sumlin distraction didn't help. He knew he was gone. We had a shot at the sugar bowl but end up beating penn state in some crappy dallas bowl game.
