The running game has been God awful. It almost cost us the game, today. I don't even think it's a lack if blocking, I think its a lack of running back talent.

Alfred Blue is clearly not an NFL player at this point. He should be cut, to be honest. I'd rather pick up someone like Jarryd Hayne from the 49ers practice squad - someone who will run with conviction and dare defenders to tackle him - than have Blue and his indecisiveness and dancing on this team for another day. Blue is so hesitant to hit the hole, he practically had Spencer Tillman laughing during the radio broadcast. I honestly have no clue how he gets carries over Grimes and Polk (who was hurt today).

Grimes should be getting the majority of the carries with Polk getting the rest. I'd rather not see Blue carry the ball again. The fact that he still is, is the one thing that makes me question this coaching staff.

I'm assuming the running game will continue to be a hit topic as the year progresses. It's what is going to haunt this team, either early in the playoffs, or late in the season. I'm assuming Foster gets cut. This is a great year to draft a running back. In my opinion, you can get a very good quality back in the third round this year.

I liked the inventiveness of Godsey and O'Brien today in trying to manufacture a run game today. The Shorts read-option was a nice addition. What I'd love to see is a Shorts- Charles James read option worked in.

The rbs we picked up to back up Foster just aren't good.

    More wildcat!

Grimes should see at least 75% of the snaps. Blue is not even NFL talent. He shouldn't even be on a practice squad. Dude is absolutely horrible with zero vision or lane running ability.

Grimes was the best RB we had yesterday. And it wasn't close.

i want grimes to get the bulk of the carries. blue can be the 1 yard specialist. and when we draft a rb next year, I hope he is one from a zone system. those guys just have better instincts on hitting the holes hard. umm umm

My question is..... If Hoyer keeps up the good play and the Texans make the playoffs and beat the Bengals via wild card game :)

Do you forgo QB first two rounds and take RB and WR/TE (I would take TE first round if there's a good one)first two rounds? Lol

qb and wr have to be our first 2 picks. Doesn't matter what comes first.

If they play the Bengals in the first round, you'd think they'd have to start Yates regardless of Hoyer's health or play. :)

    Of course.

O'Brien better announced it a week out.

Just to mess with their head.

Yeah I have no idea why Grimes isn't getting the bulk of the carries. He has good vision and is way more decisive.

If they can get Henry or Elliot, they gotta go for it.

Grimes must be a bad blocker and/or receiver. He's a better runner than Polk and blue

I don't think Blue is that good of a blocker either.

At this point, Blue would be better served auditioning for Dancing with the Stars rather than trying to be an NFL running back. Grimes and Polk are so much better than him.

Blue is best served near the goaline since he is the biggest back on the roster right now. Grimes should be getting the bulk of the carries. He was more efficient than Blue was last game vs the Jets running the ball. Better vision and better receiver out the backfield.

Long term solution I would look hard and close at Ezekiel Elliot. Perfect back for O'Brien's offense. Excellent vision, good blocker, and good receiver out the backfield.

I'm starting to think we go into next season with Tom Savage as the starter which means we might go runningback in the first round. If there is any way we could get Ezekiel Elliot ooh baby. He reminds we so much of Arian, running style and demeanor. Can you imagine having two guys like that in the locker room and they could be on the field together if Arian is lined up as the slot receiver which he would be the best slot receiver option we have on the roster. It propably won't happen but man it would be sweet
