Brewer+Capela for Bass+Crowder Celtics trade Brandon Bass' expiring contract for a young talent in Capela. we got a decent big man to help our playoff run this season. Brewer and Crowder both energy guy off bench, throw in to make the salaries work. Papa + Shved + NO pick + NY pick for Dragic Howard, Motijunas, Dorsey Jones, Bass, Black Ariza, Crowder Harden, Terry, Johnson Dragic, Beverley, Canaan i'd also trade Jones for Henson or Shumpert if possible
Agree but I think you're just slightly short on salary. Could throw in Dorsey and cash to make it work. If you get Dragic I'd also try to do Terry, Capela, and Rockets 2015 2nd for Brandan Wright. PG: Dragic, Beverly, Canaan SG: Harden, Brewer, Johnson SF: Ariza, Brewer, KPap PF: DMo, KPap, ??? C: Howard, Wright, Black Only weakness of the whole rotation would be PF depth. Al Harrington for vet min? Get Brandon Bass for MLE in free agency? Good news is that Cuban can't troll our FAs with anything but the MLE next summer.
Honestly with the two additions yesterday , I'm pretty satisfied with the roster now pending Jones comes back healthy at some point. The only thing I might try to add is a backup 4/5 and only if I can keep the rotation intact including Shved & Brewer. Parts I'd be willing to move are Jones & Dorsey .... which doesn't give much to work with in terms of salary matching but. Not a lot of productive players that fit in terms of salary matching that teams would realistically move for a combination of Jones , Dorsey & the NO pick.
I think two deals that make a lot of sense are: Dragic for Terry, Capela, NO pick, and a future 2nd. (If they insisted on Canaan or Nick Johnson instead of the 2nd I'd do that) Suns get a young big with some potential, a pick in the teens, and a future 2nd or young G, who wouldn't be in the Rockets plans moving forward anyway. Brandan Wright for Shved and Knicks 2nd rounder. (Possibly add rights to Gentile or Todorovic as an extra) Celtics get a great 2nd rounder for a guy who is going to walk and save a little prorated salary. Rockets get their PG and hopefully lock him up. Also, add about the best backup big they can. I think these are realistic and fair without touching the Rockets' bench. Ideally this happens ASAP.

Why? The Suns aren't going to get much more for Dragic than a mid 1st, a 2nd (or a recent 2nd round G with good potential and great contract terms), and a young big who was a 1st round pick. That is a better return than the Celtics just got for Rondo and they did that with an extra 2 months. Celtics aren't going to get much more than a high 2nd or high 20s first for Wright.

Capela may well be the answer to our backup center concerns. Granted, he is still very young and in the learning mode, but his athleticism and potential cannot be denied. I can see him paired with D-Mo or T-Jo when Dwight sits. Plus, we don't have to dream about acquiring him. We only have to worry about re-acquiring Capela if we squander his rights now.
Get Josh Smith to sign. Trade Canaan+Kpap+Schved+NOP pick+NY pick for Dragic. Howard/Motiejunas Smith/Jones/Pap Ariza/Brewer Harden/Terry Dragic/Bev
Drop black and get smith. People are so quick to throw papa out but he is still very important to how the team functions, chemistry and playing wise

If Smith agrees to sign with the Rockets... Would the Celtics give up one of their many picks which the Rockets would then send to Phoenix? The Rockets want to add a defensive C but so do the Suns. Gogi, Bev, Johnson Harden, Terry, Zoki Ariza, Brewer, (Smith or Zoki) Donuts, Smith, Black Howard, (Donuts), Dorsey
Pretty sure Phoenix also has a full roster and not too many they'd want to cut. So you can't throw any 4 players for one trade. A 3 team trade would make more sense. I don't want to see terry go; so hopefully some combination of Kpap Capela Canaan Johnson NOP pick and Jones can net us Dragic if we sign Smith.
