We can put together a package that's a million times better, and Walsh said he wouldn't get desperate...Looks like that was a lie

Even if the Hornets were in love with David West, they wouldn't trade CP3. They may give up Collison, but I don't think they could trade the heart and soul of that team for anyone in this league other than LeBron.

Shocking, other teams are trying to get better?

If Paul is available, Morey needs to get in on this b****!

If the knicks want to do a S&T, they shouldn't have done the Tmac trade.

David Lee + picks are more attractive.

There's probably not a chance of this deal happening, but if the Knicks could end up with Chris Paul (by himself) or Collison (who has the potential to be a top 10 pg) with other pieces.

With the right free agent additions, they could easily end up being one of the top 3 to 6 teams in the East.

I would pull this deal, if I am New York, since they probably will not keep David Lee in the first place. Why not trade him before the free agency period, and get something back for him, instead of letting him walk for free.

This is gonna help New York, but what does New Orleans get out of it? Having David West and David Lee both on your roster will be redundant. Unless one of them agrees to come off the bench, I don't see this happining.

Also, what will that do to their point guard position. Unless Hornets are comfortable handing the keys over to Collison, this is a downgrade. Even if Collison is great and has a 17 and 10 average, that leaves their back up position thin.

Assuming the Knicks don't get Wade, Bosh, or LeBron, they are gonna have to settle for Gay and or Johnson and maybe Boozer.

Hornets bring in David Lee for Paul when they already have West and Okafor?

Only the NYPost would run with that.

I'd figure that West would be on the block at that point (if Lee is acquired).

You sure? Not sure the Princeton offense calls for yo-yo'ing the ball for 20 seconds. And I guess the Pistons (no, the other Pistons) were the last team to win a championship doing that. But they were more known for defense. All these "elite point guards" are surprisingly lacking in the rings department, while the guys who can simply stand back and hit the open 3 seem to dominate in that area.

Brah its not cause of the wingmen, it's cause of the bigs. Apart from Jordan, every other championship in recent memory had an elite big. The last few championship teams featured KG, Gasol, Duncan and Shaq. The main reason those "elite pgs" are ringless is because they haven't been paired with an elite big man. The few times it happened the pgs are as likely to win a ring as the sgs or sfs (see Tony Parker, Chauncy Billups, Rajon Rondo).

I wouldn't trade AB for Chris Paul. AB and Kyle Lowry have too good of a chemistry going on, and getting Chris Paul up to speed on the Princeton Offense is a hassle.
