Useless without an extension. Too much drama with him. If Yao was healthy,it might have been worth it.
No extension with trade partner? No Knicks max contract in the offseason. Thats what they have to tell him and gurantee his agent. Will not deal with Knicks in offseason and tell him to lose money to go there. His option then dwindles to get traded and make money? Make less money to do what you want. Simple as that. He has no say over how much money he can make. If they do that. He will lose money.
I mentioned this in the other thread but why aren't we the favs? Denver has never liked dealing with NY and Chicago won't move Noah so wouldn't the Rockets be the leaders in the clubhouse?

This is the beginning of a flood fo free agents starting to stockpile a few teams. They have no power and Nuggets are worthless franchise. Won't believe anything till I see it's done or close to being done. I saw too many: Rockets are Dark Horse for Lebron/Bosh/Wade, blah blah blah.
With all these reports that are/have been surfacing and the Nets deciding to pull out of the Melo race it only seems more and more logical that Melo is going to likely land here. The Nuggets can't afford to let him walk without getting nothing in return. The Knicks still lack some of the assets the Nuggets want, leaving us as the only other team with a serious chance.
Since the Nets got cold feet, it seems that the next suitor in line is the Knicks. If we "rooster"-block NY from getting melo this year, they are one Stoudemire knee away from being a perennial lottery bound team
i am so tired of hearing we're sleepers!!!! wtf sleepers in the west conference to get to the playoffs, when we get to the playoffs and take LA to game 7 we're the sleepers in the playoffs, we're the sleepers in getting bosh this past off season now we're sleepers in getting melo. Come on man when does it stop...
