    offense has become predictable

Adelman would put Harden in areas to succeed on the court

McFail just puts a starting 5 on the court, thinks our hustle will keep the game close, and hopes for the best in the 4th quarter

Why did Morey hire this guy

    he is clueless

Hopefully, he plays better today. Can't be worse I hope.

The coaches need to make adjustments after the past three games.

There is a lot of over-reaction going on. This team is basically doing training camp all over again in November because of the trade. Let's wait and see how this team does in December when they have had a chance to play together for a bit and have everyone on the same page.

Even though I think Russell Westbrook needs Harden more than Harden needs Russell Westbrook, he really need Russell's energy and fiery personality right now. When Harden was playing alongside Westbrook, whenever he loses a little confidence, I think Russell's fiery personality gives Harden the confidence and energy back into his game.

The Rockets right now does not have that kind of player that brings the fiery energy towards everyone. I think James Harden is losing some confidence and a little morale in his game lately because of the suffocating defense as well as not getting the calls he usually get. That would really throw off his game for a little bit. He can always work up his confidence with a few good buckets but the Rockets as a whole, need that someone that will spark that confidence back into everyone whenever they are in a bad streak.

Last season, the Rockets had guys like Kyle Lowry and Luis Scola who spark energy into others. Kyle Lowry has that similar personality like Russell Westbrook, both extremely tough, hard nose fiery tempers. I think players like that would help guys like Harden and Lin a lot when their confidence and morale is down. Right now, someone needs to get their confidence back up or the Rockets would fall into a really tough stretch. Plus the coaching staff really need to make some changes.

True but they don't seem to be getting any better as a team. Maybe it is the scheme and coaching

Back-to-back in a different city and he's been logging big minutes and he'll be playing in front of a half-empty, quiet stadium. It can easily get worse.

The scale of time to develop chemistry and cohesion is not 5 games. 5 months maybe, 5 weeks to even re-examine the matter.

23 year old all star caliber guy
You count on up and downs. Give him at least 40 to 50 games.

I like how OP completely forgot to put up 2 major details. One, his first two games his performance trended actually up! (37 to 45 although rebounds/assists, etc could be argued)

Second, I love how the small sample is taken out of context. Give it 20 games (still a minute sample but not a diminutive one) and if he keeps trending down we can agree. I bet by the end of the season he will be among the top performers on the league.

Another thread added to my "They will eat crow at the end of the season list."

    Thanks OP.

Nothing makes for bad statistical analysis like a tiny data set.
