I'm still mad that Browns took Corey Coleman, I wanted him so badly. While Doctson is probably going to be the better overall receiver, Fuller's impact on our team is going to be greater than if we picked Doctson.

We have two similar quality receivers in Hopkins and Strong. The jury is still out on Strong, but he's entering his 2nd year.

From everywhere I've read that have actually watched Fuller instead of reading draft reports, his hands aren't nearly as bad as advertised. Even if they are as bad advertised, his prescience on the field is still going to be large if he's able to get consistent seperation.

Ted Ginn Jr. has awful hands, but having him on the field opened up so much for Carolina's offense this past season. Having a safety with his big-play threat changes up coverages tremendously.

    • It gets Hopkin into more 1 vs 1 scenarios vs CB's which he feasts on.
    • Adds the big play threat to this offense which we lacked big time.
    • Having him on the field improves our running game because safeties can't cheat on defending the run because of his big play threat. With Lamar Miller and Tyler Ervin's speed, our running game are going to have a much larger amount of 10-15+ yardage runs.

Assuming Osweiller can play like a legitimate starting QB and our defense continues to play well, there is a good shot we can be a potential superbowl contender.

Not a fan at all, but Fuller is an amazing run blocker for a dude that small.

He's not going to pancake anybody like Treadwell, but there was one game (can't remember which one) where Prosise had 3 really long rushing touchdowns. On all three TD's, Fuller was on the goal line as Prosise went in. In all three cases, he was strategically placed to prevent a couple of DB's from hitting Prosise. Each one of those touchdowns would have at least been heavily contested, and possibly stopped at the goal line without Fuller's effort simply walking off defenders from the ball carrier. After Treadwell, his run blocking impressed me more than any other WR, which is saying something for a guy 6 foot, and barely 200 bucks. Effort-wise he's the best run blocker among the legit NFL receivers this year.

That being said, Fullers hands are terrible. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise. Half the people around here had managed to convince themselves that Mallett's character issues were a total fantasy perpetrated by chronic haters at the start of last season. Those were the people who took it hardest when he punked out.

Save yourself some disappointment. Don't try and talk yourself into believing otherwise. Even if he improves at not dropping wide open passes, he's never going to take "50/50 balls" away from a cornerbacks. Ever.

Nate Washington wasn't bad last year, but everybody's memory of his drops is exaggerated, and he ended his Texans career with a horrible rep among Texans fans. When Fuller drops a TD, just view it as the cost of doing business when he catches the next one.

He's going to catch a lot more big plays than he is going to drop. That is the key for me.

People say that now but if he drops THE pass I'd bet they turn on him pretty quickly.

See Bobby this is the difference

Fuller is a very hard worker. Well that and the fact that Fuller is very intelligent and will be able to learn the playbook. Where as Patterson is dumb as a box of rocks.

That's a good point, Fuller being smart and a being a hard worker should make up for a lot, I'm just worried about his physical limitations.

You would think he's trash by some posts in here. He put up big numbers with a number of mediocre quarterbacks. He'll be fine.

Ok, so yea there are some issues, but seriously? 40% of his "bad hands" video HE MADE THE CATCH... and a couple were for touchdowns.
