Wow... That's kind of disrespectful in my opinion.

Why? He's not coming back and it's not like they were going to retire the number.

I highly disagree, like I said in the other thread, one great and 3 good seasons isn't enough to get your number retired.....or we should retire Shaub's number too.

Agreed it shouldn't be retired, but if I was in charge of this sort of thing I think I'd have a moratorium on the usage of a number for a year for a player like Arian.

    Especially at the same position.

Just my personal opinion, maybe I'm too sentimental haha

    Schaub.

I know it was probably a simple typo, and nothing meant towards you Bobby, but why can't Texans fans, or NFL fans in general, get this right? It was never that hard...

LOL, it's cool, I HATE it when others make that typo so I totally understand.

No they shouldn't. If teams retired every jersey of every player that was good for them, we'd have to add a 3rd digit on numbers. Arian was good here (at times he was great), but in terms of longevity and legacy, you need players to be better for longer than just a handful of seasons.

So you don't want Yao's number retired?

This. A year moratorium would be the best idea.

    If it wasn't, I wouldn't mind.

There was a tweet from one of the Seahawks players (don't remember who or I would post it) but it said "Nice job on the draft, but please can we not give anyone number 24 for a few years?" in respect for Lynch

Not getting it retired, but I think its something the players wanted to observe. At the same time, I feel like it is something Foster wouldn't give to ****s about. Namaste.

Meant to post it last night. Baldwin requesting is really the big difference here. If Duane Brown or Hopkins requested it, then I would have preferred they kept the number. But apparently even his old teammates don't care. Some of us fans do, but that is not the same as a player.

The battles Bobby chooses to wage are so bizarre.

It's just ridiculous that I've even had to say anything about this topic. There's only a certain amount of numbers RB's can wear and it's not like Foster is a HOFer. I get that he was a fan favorite and a very good player, but getting upset that someone else has his number now? Bizarre.

Yes only 30 numbers for the 3-5 RBs on a roster to choose from.

Check the roster, how many numbers between 20-49 are open?

So, are they not having a press conference to introduce the rest of the guys or did I miss it?
