Sam Amick: Melo and Lebron interested in joining forces

lol @ James going to LA to increase Kobe's ring count, the only realistic way is for both Lebron and Melo to opt in and team up in 2015.

 

Lebron is going to stay in Miami.

 

If only the Lakers hadn't extended Kobe... Too bad, too sad.

 

I said many months ago that if Melo doesn't stay with the Knicks, he would join LeBron in Miami.

After this season, LeBron needs another workhorse on his team to help carry the load during the season. Melo is that type of player. Wade and Bosh don't fit that category.

 

They can be interested all they want, but no way those 4 guys all decide to just play for $13mil a piece when they can be making almost double that. No amount of extra endorsement can make up all that.

 

I'm not gonna watch the nba anymore if that happens

 

Bosh (age 30) won't get $26 million/year from anybody. He's an over-the-hill 16/7 jump-shooter. Neither will Wade (age 32). It's LeBron and Melo that would be making huge sacrifices.

IMO, it's a total lock LeBron and Wade return to the Heat, with the possibility of Melo (or someone else) replacing Bosh. If they three-peat, I bet all 3 guys return. But I wonder how much money & years Riles is willing to commit to Bosh.

Wade knows the score and will return to Miami to continue with LeBron. Bosh's final big payday is ahead and cashing in could be more important to him than more championships.

I said almost. Not at double that. But I did forget that the big 3 took paycuts last time, so they're not quite at Melo-Max of $22~23. But rather $20mil.

Still, from an ego standpoint, if not purely money standpoint, not sure how that works. It's one thing to sacrifice slightly. Another to drop yourself to Parsons/Heyward money just to win.

 

This is stupid rubbish. IF LeBron leaves Miami, it will only be to Cleveland. I don't think he wants to be known as that superstar who bounced around different teams all of the time.

And besides, why would he want to go to LA? Kobe's declining. If he REALLY wanted to win multiple titles, he should join the Rockets and 3-peat with the best SF, SG, and Center int he league.

 

Just wondering, why is everyone thinking lebron will leave? Why not have other stars join lebron?

 

And the Rockets can build a super team with Dwight Howard, Kevin Durant, James Harden and Chris Paul...

There is really no evidence at this point that he is entertaining the possibility, just people like Charles Barkley saying he should go back becuase "Cleveland fans are real fans" and a bunch of dumb Bleacher-report esque internet musings

 

The logical thing for the Big 3 is for Wade to sign a minimum salary deal for one season, bring in Melo, then Wade re-ups at the ultra max next season.

However, in my opinion, that should be circumvention. If the league is going to scuttle the Garnett/Pierce deal to the Clippers claiming circumvention then they should definitely put a stop to this sort of thing, players signing below market value, happening.
