White Business Owner Killed in a Drug Raid in Georgia

    Long story short: On September 22 or 23, David Hooks' car was stolen by a drug addict under the influence. Hooks called the police to report the crime. The burglar turned himself in shortly afterwards "fearing for his life" (Paranoia is a common side effect of Meth use). 2 guns and a bag of meth were found in the car when the police inspected it. The burglar/addict claimed that he found it when robbing the property.

    Unfortunately, Hooks' had previously been accused of selling Meth in 2009. Those charges were dismissed.

    A judge used his word to approve a drug raid on Hooks' property. On September 24th around 11 pm they raided his home. Hooks, seeing a bunch of figures moving towards his house with weapons, grabbed his shotgun to protect his family (Keep in mind his house was burglarized the day before). The police saw him with the shotgun, knocked the back door down, and fired through a wall 16 times - killing him. They searched his premises for 44 hours after killing him and found no other guns or weapons.

    Hooks lived in an upper class neighborhood and owned a construction company. He had no criminal history and as one of his primary clientele was the US military, he had to pass numerous state and federal background checks.

    That's the 34th American killed in a drug raid this year. This is getting absurd.

    Question--During the raids, is there any way the police can identify themselves or are they in plain clothes with kevlar? I assume there aren't cop cars with sirens going off outside

    Owner is white - the narrative is about the war on drugs

    Owner is black - the narrative is about racist cops with a subplot about the war on drugs

    Two completely different stories, so might as well highlight it in the title.

    So posters like Rocket Giver can understand injustices are not exclusive to one race. As long as the victim is white the discussion can stay on topic without a boatload of urban posters crying foul play and using conspiracy theories.

    That's funny because when the likes of bigtexxx post titles indicating a criminal as black it's just a factual reporting of the story but here it's about the angle of the story. Maybe you should get your story straight there.

    Yeah, double standard much. So you're talking about "urban" posters by the "boatload". I guess we'll just refer to you as a "wonder bread" poster? Equal time here.

    Tell me, why are you calling foul play? Was that not an accurate reporting of the story or did he cherry pick race for some reason? Explain to me the foul play here or whatever conspiracy theory you have.
