    Ain't that the truth.

Go to any muslim majority country in the world, even oil rich ones, and you'll have to bend over backwards to follow their primitive laws and customs or risk getting your hand chopped off. But for some reason, so called moderate musli s are allowed to run rampant with religious liberties and intolerance when they want to live in the civilized world. Teetering on the brink of fundamentalism , even if it's never violent to start out. That's how the Paris bombers evolved from regular muslims to fundamentalists. Nightclub owners, party boys, etc. These weren't hut dwelling goat humpers to start out.

Bombs will help. BUT, the only way to stop the hatred is to destroy it from within. Moderate muslims, if that's what you really are when th e civilized word isn't listening, need to be aggressively vocal against any kind of bitterness, contempt and mocking behaviors towards the west at their mosques and amongst friends. Because that's how it starts, and that's what has led to the religion of a blood thirsty prophet being hijacked.

Muslims, it's time to abandon the devious qualities you think define your role in the west, and grow a spine. For justice.

    For life.

For preservation of your religion, if it's worth it.

    It's all on you.

It's this arrogant condescending attitude as part of the reason many don't give a crap.

First of all, a ton of Muslim groups have come out and condemned the attacks.

Second of all, where are all the non-Muslims condemning the violence against Muslims from ISIS when the bombed Beirut just a few days before Paris???

And where are you when hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were killed in a war in Iraq that had no legitimate ground to be fought?

And who condemned the thousands of Palestinian civilians that died when Israel bombed the f out of Gaza Strip?

Muslims are constantly put into one big bucket as if ISIS belongs to them. In reality, they don't see ISIS as good - they see it as evil. But they also see Israel and much of the west as inflicting far more casualties - while not as cruel, the scale of death is far greater.

Until people start to understand the perspective of the vast majority of Muslims - nothing will change.

actually I think I've heard more outcry from muslim nations and muslims in particular on social media etc than I have ever seen before. I don't understand what people like the OP want muslims to do. They are the ones that have been getting slaughtered by IS the most and have been pretty vocal about saying that the IS represents islam in no way whatsoever and have been pretty vocal about saying that they aren't muslim.

Are you trying to prop up the Iranian government as some kind of heroic freedom fighters? If yes, that is insanely stupid. That's like saying "oh, the Camorra has killed more Mafia members than the police has! Look, they are better than the police!" Just unbelievably stupid, sorry.

They are two sides of the same coin - they are both Islamist fanatics. One of them are Shiite fanatics who stop at nothing and commit gruesome murders, the other ones are Sunni fanatics who stop at nothing and commit gruesome murders.

Iran's government's values are horrible. They do the same things as Saudi's rulers - murder dissenters, gays, subjugate women, try to force their beliefs on others, etc. etc. etc.

Just because the Shiite extremists happen to hate the Sunni extremists and they fight each other doesn't mean that any of them deserves any respect.

I just can't believe how you can keep making that stupid argument over and over again. You just cannot be that stupid.

Also, some of my Facebook friends posted some small social media campaign by Muslims called "Not in my name", as if there was a huge trend on social media of Muslims distancing themselves from the Paris terror attacks. Then it turned out that that campaign was actually from 2014, and most re-tweets were from non-Muslims who were trying to make this campaign seem really big.

    Where is the current outcry?

I watched the German representative of the Muslim associations on TV and, as usual, all he did was deflect.

Lol, it's the vast majority of Muslims who have you right where they want you.

Bent over, with your pants around your ankles.

What the vast majority of Muslims give themselves leeway for, or slack, isn't what they post on facebook. It's not what they tell you because they know saying anything else would mean the end of their life of luxury.

It's what they talk about amongst each other, in the shadows, at mosques, far away from the western media they constantly villify.

    Stay with me.

Did you know a large number of ISIL attackers, before paris, are university educated? It might be a Tunisian university , but it's an education. What ultimately drives them to terrorism according to their own words is surprisingly simple. It's a lack of opportunity. A lack of opportunity for social status, for recognition, so they ... decide to use bombs, death and guerilla tactics to achieve it.

Don't you think that's a bit extreme? Well, it isn't to them. Tbey share the ideology of islam and the words of Allah with those already in ISIS. And it's this ideology that has put the civilized world at risk.

It is this breaking point between moderate muslims and fundamentalists, the conversion of a supposedly peaceful citizen to war mongering lunatic, that the west has greatly underestimated. While you're being fed lies on facebook, muslims are sympathizing with isis and vilify ing the west and their media among at themselves.

And that's how the seeds are planted. By moderate sympathizing.

Instead of take accountability for the religion being hijacked by weeding out this sentiment amongst moderates, they put out a statement on Facebook and publicly distance themselves from extremism while it's their very own who have been slowly, but surely, taking the jump.

It's time to adapt a no tolerance viewpoint when it comes to anti-west sentiment amongst muslims. And that can only be done at the roots, when real muslims stop the bull****. In the wests desire to be seen as a bigger man, theyve been taken for fools by a cunning and devious peoples. Now it's time to ask a favor by asking them... to grow a pair.

Stop pointing to some irrelevant news story every time these attacks happen. Hang your heads in shame , and take to the mosques to squash all bitterness towards the West. There are also personal liberties you will have to forfeit when you decide to live here, just like me and my girlfriend forfeit ours when we visit muslim countries. It's a very, very simple solution.

no, but whenever somebody asks what the "real Muslims (???)" are doing, I like to point out that they're 99% of the people who are killing ISIS on the ground.

"where is the outcry over ISIS? where is the action?"

They're engaged in a messy existential war with ISIS. like LOL. You can say Iran and the Quds Force are terrible (they are), sure, but that won't stop the West from allying with them (they already have in Iraq) because they're doing more to kill ISIS than anybody else is. You sure as hell can't say Muslims aren't "doing anything" about ISIS.

    If you prefer:

lol check back in when the west has done 10% of what the Kurds have done fighting ISIS, kthxbye

If I hear one more person use their Facebook or Twitter feed as a gauge for what muslims are really saying, and not what they want to be perceived as saying , I will have you banned for r****dation, gullibility, and gross negligence.

The reality is if they love their religion that much they should be rallying, marching, fighting, etc... against ISIS and extremism. It's a shame they have to but it's the world they live in. Their religion is severely misunderstood and it's their responsibility to change perceptions. Very naive if they think non-muslims will save their religion. If you love something you fight for it, you can't rely on someone else who doesn't love it to save it. Will never happen.

I don't remember seeing any Christian outcry and vocal denouncements when Christian terrorists attacked people in Ireland, Wisconsin, Kansas, Uganda, Georgia, or China.

Because you know "what they talk about amongst each other, in the shadows, at mosques, far away from the western media"? Cause you've been there? In the shadows, at mosques? Maybe you have, but we're just going to take your word for it? Because the word of a rando on a basketball BBS is more trustworthy than FB/Twitter?
