Trade for Eric Bledsoe. Give up a package of Beverley/Dekker/Ariza/Capela/future first.

Draft Thon Maker & Zhou Qi.

Sign Whiteside and Batum to max contracts. Sign Gentile, Russ Smith, Raphaeil Putney, Perry Jones.

    Harden/Goudelock
    Bledsoe/Llull/Russ Smith
    Batum/Putney/Gentile
    Beasley/Jones/Harrell/Maker
    Whiteside/D-Mo/Qi

Rockets need more length, scoring, ball handling, versatility and WANT-TO on D.

At least we'd get some fun this season when his attempts at sliding into celebrity DMs get publicized.

Trade Ariza, Beverly, and KJ to Chicago for Derrick Rose

Rose even in his current state is better than all the guards available on the market at the price that will have to be paid. Can't see giving Conley 30mil.

Free agency ( The assumption is that everyone has been renounced accept Beasley and Brewer has been cast off for cap space) Leaves approx 49 to 51 mil in space.

    Allen Crabbe 11 mil
    Ryan Anderson 15 mil
    Whiteside 20 mil
    Brandon Jennings 5 mil
Gerald Green - Veterans min. or LLE if available

    Lineup:
    Whiteside/Capela
    Anderson/Beasley/Harrell
    Crabbe/Dekker
    Harden/Green
    Rose/Jennings

This lineup has shooters, drivers and a rim protector who actually likes running the PNR.

Just for grins, if you decide to go with a big lineup(assuming previous moves garnering cap of around 51 mil.

    Take Crabb at 11mil
    Take Batum at 18mil
    Take Whiteside at 20 mil
Take Gerald Green at vet. min. or LLE

    Lineup
    Whiteside/Capela
    Harrell/Beasely
    Batum/Ariza/Dekker
    Crabb/Green
    Harden/Beverly

I think the max Whiteside could get is around 20. I think if push came to shove the Rockets could make a move to secure that amount.

Also I forgot that I'd really like to see Brandon Jennings as a backup PG and if moving Beverly in a sign and trade with Orlando would work I'd be thrilled. Love Bev but this offense will not suit him.

Also I would seriously consider a sign and trade of Solomon Hill for Ariza.

This will be a unique offseason. Guys currently on max contracts can be absorbed into virtually anyone's payroll. I think we will see lots of trades of big name players.

Ariza/Beverly for Dragic. He would be the perfect player to run MDA offense.

Why does everyone keep talking about Whiteside? Or is that just a fantasy/NBA2K thing?
    He ain't leaving Miami.
Pat Riley doesn't give nicknames to guys he doesn't want. And Whiteside has stated he wants to stay.
If we want to be more realistic, best look at 76's with their glutt of bigs.

Trade Brewer, 1 2nd rounder for the 30th pick in the draft
    Draft Thon Maker
    Draft Gary Payton Jr.
    Sign Conley
    Sign Whiteside
    Sign Parsons
    Sign Eric Gordon
Sign and Trade Motiejunas and a first for Ryan Anderson
Sign and Trade T. Jones for Spencer Hawes
Trade Ariza and Dekker for JR Smith
    Sign Allen Crabbe

    Conley/Beverley/Payton
    Harden/Gordon/Goudelock
    Parsons/Smith/Crabbe
    Anderson/Harrell/Maker
    Whiteside/Capela/Hawes

This team is full of shooters/offensive stars, along with a solid defensive crew. If defense is needed, Conley, Bev, Smith, Payton, Harrell, Whiteside and Capela can all suffice. Offense would flourish with MDA as coach. Every single wing player can shoot at a high clip. This team would be fun to watch. Any double team leads to an open scoring threat. Not to mention a real big man in the middle.

I like Richaun, and maybe (if not probably) Colangelo is willing to trade him for little to nothing.

Is there any realistic trade scenario that could land us with a first round top 5 pick?
