Roadblocks to him signing with us:

    1. Rumor of clashes with T-Mac over ball distribution.

    2. Rafer Alston. Do we try to dump Rafer if we sign him? Having them split time is a bad idea. Very weird - we trade for Mike James, then we trade him for Rafer. Then we sign him to, I assume, start in front of Rafer. Looks pretty silly to me.

    3. Do we have enough money to sign him?

    1. No, T-mac never had clashes with him.

    2. Keep Alston as the back-up PG.

    3. Mike James probably would take the MLE.

I'm pretty sure Seattle isn't going to let Wilcox go....they'll pay him well enough. And I heard he likes it there too.

Colangelo in Toronto will tear CD a new one if we do some sort of sign and trade. I have very little confidence in this current management now, especially after witnessing the fire sale that the rockets had lastnight.

I'm really upset about the whole gay + swift for battier.. so i believe we need mike james for a plus.. i think wtih him in our line up we have a really good offensive force with him tmac and yao.. then you use other players as rotations to see what you get out of them..
battier is definetly over his prime time.. so we have him in his decline..
oh well we'll see waht we get from him..

and we must get mike james.

He should be our #1 target right now. Free agent signing begins on Saturday. Hopefully we are front in line.

Getting Mike James is a priority now with the direction we went with the draft.

To the guy that wants Wilcox, no thanks. Do me a favor and compare his career numbers with Stro's.

How about Rafer Alston as our PG and Mike James as our SG?
I read from somewhere that Mike James used to go out with Tmac? or is that Juwan Howard?

mike james is still not an starting caliber pg. at least not for a jvg team. if we sign james and he wants to come to the rockets than the best role for him is to be the leading scorer off the bench. alston should be the starter because he fits the (healthy) team better.

Mike James is an absolute MUST right now. We need a legit 3rd scoring option. We need more team "speed." We need someone that can break down the defense.

Adding Mike James would be a huge help. But we aren't done after that. Somehow we have to find a way to get a decent SG, someone with length. That hasn't been addressed yet. James is not an option here full time. And Battier is NOT a 2/3. He is a 3/4.

LOL... cause Mike James never played more than 30minutes or took over 13 shots against the mavs, so how could he be the problem?

I agree will all you said but one thing.....Battier can play three positions. True, he is a natural 3/4, but he's talented enough to play 2/3. He did it at Duke and Hubbie Brown used him there too. I'm a little worried because Mike James wants and almost demands to be a starter.....(can you blame him?) I'd prefer to have him at the two, but not a starting two.....coming off the bench and adding a HUGE scoring punch. I don't think he will be down with Alston starting over him when EVERYONE knows (including Mike) that he's better than him. I still think that Houston NEEDS him right now.....now more than ever. We need his scoring, grit, and toughness.
