Anyone know how to make some good bourbon chicken. Exactly the type you get in the mall at those cajun places? I love that stuff, but don't want to go to the freakin mall everytime I want to eat it.

    Cajun Cafe's Bourbon Chicken
    1/2 C. soy sauce

    1/2 C. brown sugar

    1/2 t. garlic powder

    1 t. powdered ginger

    2 T. dried minced onion

    1/2 C. bourbon whiskey

1 lb. boneless chicken leg or thigh meat cut into bite size chunks

    2 T. white wine

    Cooked white rice, optional

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, onion and bourbon; stir until sugar has dissolved. Add chicken and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

Place chicken and the marinade in an 8 x 8 inch glass baking dish and bake in a preheated 350°F. oven for 45 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with pan juices. Remove chicken. Scrape pan juices with all the brown bits into a frying pan. Heat over medium heat and add white wine. Stir and add chicken. Serve immediately with pan juices over cooked rice.

    Serves 4.

    Enjoy!

    1) throw chicken in oven.

    2) drink bourbon.

    3) repeat until chicken tastes good.

I don't know about that, but here's a Christmas cake recipe with vodka.

    1 cup of sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup of brown sugar
    lemon juice
    4 large eggs
    nuts
    bottle Vodka
    2 cups of dried fruit

    Instructions
Sample the vodka to check quality.
Take a large bowl, check the vodka again.
To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
    Repeat.
    Turn on the electric mixer.
Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
    Add one teaspoon of sugar.
    Beat again.
At this point it's best to make sure the vodka is shtill OK.
Try another cup ... just in case
    Turn off the mixerer.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
    Pick fruit off floor.
    Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the vodka to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who giveshz a ****.
    Check the vodka.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
    Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
    Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the vodka and kick the cat.
