    Ban stabbing and shooting.

    Keep knives and guns.

    Problem solved.

Because everything is moving too fast for most people to process, especially teens. You can't really be sure of what you're dealing with, either. It could be 2 guys, could have guns too, never know. Plus, teens are more selfish by nature. They just want to get the hell out. Even an adult would have trouble taking him down though, unless experienced in self defense enough to stay calm. Even the officer, who took him down, was cut/stabbed.

I also think i heard he pulled the fire alarm, so that's easy access for him.

Allow only teachers to have concealed fire arms locked up in the classroom. Ban guns for the general public.

    Problem solved?

    From Reddit
So two knives, flailing about as there is a panic. Very easy to stab that many people. Look up stabbings in Japan/China. Most happen in crowded areas like Subways. Hallways are very similar, add panic to that and it is surprising more people weren't stabbed.

On the internet everyone is a tough guy that would take down a robber, a crazy knife wielding idiot that is slashing at people, a terrorist on an airplane, etc.

In real life the vast majority of people click into self preservation mode and in situations like that when it becomes fight or flight they will pick flight.

Brave guy, but i wonder if pulling the alarm just made it easier for the guy to stab more people..either way he's going to get tons of you know what..

There was a discussion. The freedom seizure failed. It would be wise to start efforts that won't have a similar backlash. Efforts that would prevent non firearm related violence.

Anyone who wants to go on a shooting/stabbing spree will find a way to get a weapon passed the metal detectors .... I think the Columbine shooters were in some sort of media club, so they had access to a van and the service entrance.
Most schools only have a chain link fence or iron gate surrounding the campus. A gun or knife can fit through the cracks.
