At this point I guess I'm on the "Collison or bust train". Start Bev, and then Collison runs your bench. Something like Prigs and TJones for Collison, but only if you get a commitment from Smith.
with mavs and blazers falling off. we still can easy be top 5 in west with a MVP player like harden, but making him do all the work isn't good for harden in our future of the franchise. He sees all the other stars have help.
Just gonna say this...Morey and Mchale are two of the most luckiest dudes ever...The deals that the team planned on and didnt happen, ended up working for the Rockets. And deals/signing they made flourished... Something about this system allows for players to reboot their careers. I dont think that Morey is done quite yet...and you never know how things work out in the end. But up to this point things have worked out for us...Hoping that Morey does get the help Harden needs, and the Rockets dont miss a beat. Go Rockets
— and which of the top 4 would you prefer to see in the first round? (still optimistic about this season, BTW)
Lot of offseason left, plus time before the training deadline. Morey knows we need another guy. It is pretty amazing, however, that we have somehow managed to get even worse in the playmaking department this offseason.
We don't need a point guard necessarily. Would getting an Eric Snow clone solve our problems? No, and he's a point guard. We need someone that can make moves with the ball and shoot, period. At any position. If you have that extra weapon the defense has to react and then it's a matter of passing to the open man. Thornton fits what we needed. Given that he's a guard, he'll obviously help Harden directly, more than Smith could have. It's exactly the kind of help Harden needed, with potentially more on the way.
i was told by vegas summer league announcers that nick johnson couldn't see the court for even 1 minute due to "lower leg irritation"……irri-frickin-tation!
A story just came out today about Nick. I'm guessing that's what his sources are referring to. It's a puff piece..
I think that poster has claimed to have organizational connections before. IDK, I just see nothing in Nick that excites me. I'd be pretty disappointed if adding him to the rotation is Morey's idea of "help."
