I have been seeing some chatter about this in the Jeremy Lin thread.

Really? Westbrook? The guy who took more shots than Kevin Durant during the game that Durant was lighting it up for 51 points? He's a better PG? cmon now, that's just ridiculous. D-Will is a top 3 PG in this league, and on any given night can outshine CP3 and Rose (who I think is tremendously overrated).

Both players are great, but I'd definitely go with d. will if I had a choice.

Westbrook has all the physical tools to be better... But I've seen Dwill play on his own level.

Holy heck, are you really complaining that Westbrook took too many shots in a game that Durant scored 51 and Westbrook scored 40 with only 2 turnovers?

Seriously dude? You have a complex.

D-Will is a true badass point guard. Westbrook is an athletic guy who can score. I'd date D-Will.

Definitely agreed on the physical tools aspect, but mentally the guy's just, I don't know, not there all the time. He had a far superior year last year. I don't know what happened to him, but the guy's playing terrible this year IMO. turnovers are up, assists are down and he's taking 19 shots per game on a team with KEVIN DURANT. This guy is a very skilled but glorified SG playing the PG spot.

This is Westbrook's numbers this year:
    23.4PPG 5.5APG 4.8RPG 1.9STL 4.3TO 47.4FG% on 18.8FGA

Now compare him to this player:
    21.3PPG 7.0APG 5.8RPG 1.4STL 4.1TO 42.3FG% on 17.1FGA

    Which line is better?

Hmm.... but they are not as dependent on him than before.

Ibaka has emerged or submerged offensively

James Harden is one of the best SGs in the league who should be putting in over 20 a game but Westbrook's gotta worry about getting his first. He just is not a PG.

BTW, that second line belongs to one of my favorite Rox ever, Steve Francis, another talented but glorified SG in the PG spot.

Yeah I saw that too. Someone even said they would take Rondo over DWill....

I LOVE Westbrook's ability but that's just flat out ridiculous. He is top 3 easy. EASY.

It is funny how D-Will, 2 years ago, was considered to be on par with CP3/Nash and constantly in the debate for best PG in the league.

Then he goes to an irrelevant team and all of a sudden, everybody kind of forgets about him.

Westbrook is probably a better scorer and rebounder, maybe even defender. BUT Deron is a superior POINT GUARD.

IMO, D-Will is better now, but he's topped out. We still don't know how good WB will be.

    Yikes, people actually believe that?

Better overall player... maybe. Better PG? Ridiculous.

Westbrook is basically Derrick Rose with a lower bball iq, and with less discipline and attention to detail.

I've always liked Westbrook's game, especially in college. Reminded me of a football player playing point guard -- in a good way. But I did not like what I saw from him in the playoffs. Not one bit.

And he and Durant can be a deadly combo, but it's not organic... it's not natural. Westbrook would probably mesh better with a passive first option player like Dirk used to be.

Williams is still better IMO. He just doesn't seem motivated as of late.

I would take D-Will in a heartbeat, 7 days a week, and twice on Sundays.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. D-Will is the best PG in the game. Yes, better than Rose and CP3. Certainly better than Westbrick.

In short he's worse than D-Will. Seriously BBall IQ is one of those things you either have or don't. WB looks like he has Starbury disease, and always has a chip on his shoulder because the KG/KD on his team is much better than he is.
