Whether the Rockets make any decent-sized deals before the deadline remains to be seen, but I think it's safe to say that Derek Anderson will get dealt. It would be a 100% certainty if not for D.A.'s player option for next season.

My hunch is CD has a deal or two worked out to send Anderson somewhere, but they are more than likely last resort deals. They aren't much help to the Rockets, but they are fallback plans (since they really can't go past the deadline without having dealt him) if nothing else works out.

So which team do you think Derek Anderson will be a part of after Thursday? You can only pick one team as your guess ... Houston is an acceptable answer (if you don't believe he will be dealt).

No way the Knicks would take DA. His contract is far too small and too short.

Maybe Miami, to the east at least, but would it really matter?

I like your thinking. We help Orlando get rid of their guard glut, while adding the league's best 3 point shooter. DA can play SF for them and would be quite useful in that position.

This actually has to be one of the smartest deal proposals I've seen in a long time.

    Houston and then waived.

No team will give up anything for him as he's not worth it and more importantly our great coach has publicly announced DA will either be traded or waived. Why buy it when you can get him free. It's not like he's a hot commodity.
