The Houston Texans are the 13th wealthiest franchise in the world valued at 1.305 Billion. Only 10 years of playing Pro football, and the Texans have reached the elite status. Congrats Robert McNair.
    .

The top 3 are EPL soccer teams:

    1. Real Madrid-3.3 Billion
    2.Manchester United-3.165 Billion
    3.Barcelona-2.6 Billion

The Carolina Panthers are more valuable than the Los Angeles Lakers.

    Wow.

Why would you congratulate billionaire Bobby for putting a mostly medicore product on the field for yrs and in the procees enriching himself off of the great fans of the Houston Texans.

If anybody should be congratulated it should be the greatest fans on earth. HOUSTON TEXANS FANS

They were 13th last year, too.

Sorry, Mr. McNair, but we need to see some improvement. This is unacceptable.

There wouldn't even be any Houston Texan fans if it were not for Bob McNair.

The city of houston basically gave him a sweetheart deal. Any bank would have been willing to finance the deal.

Didn't the dodgers just sell for more than 2 billion, but Forbes just values them at 1.6 billion?

Investor value is different than what someone is willing to pay.

Still had to execute it... still had to convince the NFL owners that a guaranteed deal in Houston would be a worthwhile option over unorganized Los Angeles.

He's also very well liked/respected amongst ALL the owners... which is tough to command while owning an expansion team. I'd say he's in the top 5 as far as "NFL owners with significant power" within the league.

Getting the Super Bowl to come back here, at a time where the Houston economy is ahead of what most of the country is doing, should only further this city's prominence.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona = La Liga

    Manchester United = EPL

There, now everyone knows more about non-American Football than anyone should ever care to know.

I can't believe real Madrid weren't always up there. . They are essentially the yankees but more global. . The money they have is ridiculous: multiple 30m purchases a season plus millions in wages each week.. all in Euro's

Texans 5th most valuable franchise in the NFL

    5. Houston Texans
    Team value: $1,450 mil.
    Revenue 2012: $320 mil.
    Operating income 2012: $81.5 mil.

Houston finished atop the AFC South with a 12-4 record in 2012, and the team's brand has never been stronger.

    ...

The Patriots and Texans valuation gains are the result of stadiums that generate a lot of cash and converting success on the gridiron into more local media and sponsorship revenue.
