Preseason Tailgating

    If there is a better thread to put this in please let me know and close this one..

    My birthday this year falls on labor day weekend and my best friend is a huge 49's fan. He has never been to Houston and I have never been to a Thursday night preseason game. I know ppl will be at the game, but we get in town early and I was wondering what the tailgating will be like on a weeknight PREseason game. We will be there, can we look forward to a good crowd still?

    No matter how bad this team is there will always be rocking tailgates. If they didn't even play but allowed folks to tailgate people would tailgate.

    You won't have any issues having fun.

    Stadium will be about 60% full. Last preseason game and no starters will play. Should see alot of Savage in that game.

    i thought the last preseason game was where the starters played the most?

    And single season tickets go on sale this week right? Anyone have presale codes?

    Nope the 3rd game is when the starters play almost 3 qts. Bad news is we play Denver (yikes). Oh and you can buy single game ticks now on ticketcity.com Got mine last year a week before ticketmaster placed them online.

    What are the rules for tailgating? Do you have to be invited, or can you just hang at a random tailgate?

    Wasnt worried so much about the quality of the team or game being a factor.. just that it was preseason on a thursday.. we will be there when the gates open lol

    I am in the yellow lot and anyone here is welcome to come tailgate in fact others from this board have come in the past.

    A Thursday final pre-season game will be an awful tailgate compared to a regular season Sunday but we can defiantly make it fun.

    im buying lot tickets now, i usually tailgate with a friends group on the weekend games but they are gonna be out of town that weekend. buying lot tickets now for first time in the yellow lot i believe. if we just have one car do we only need one ticket?

    we have 4 game tickets and 1 car. so i would only need one parking ticket for one of the lots correct? or one for each of us?

    Sweet, we'll be there. All of us took thursday and friday off so we will be there early (cant drink all day if you dont start in the morning)

    Would love to come by and pregame with you guys at some point. Bringing food and a lot of drinks, hopefully an outdoor game or 2.
