A friend of mine washed some clothes with gum and is wondering if there is a easy way to get it out. Do any of you have a tip to get chewing gum out of clothing?

I've heard that you put it in the freezer and break it off when is is frozen. My daughter put some gum in her back pocket and that is what I did.

Rub ice on it. Kind of the same as the freezer thing.

I guess I should have mentioned we don't want to DAMAGE the pants. Very funny though Faos.

    Thanks for your responses.

For those that have given suggestions, have you just heard that these products remove the gum, or have you tried it out? Is there not a specifically designed product to remove gum from clothes?

Whatever you do, don't try to get it out with a bone. It'll only make things worse.

There's this stuff called "Goof Off" You can buy it at your local Ace Hardware for sure (I used to work at one). It gets all sorts of crap out of clothes. It's some badass stuff.

I thought this was going to be a thread about nude pictures of Kristin Gum from OLN TV for some reason.

I've done this successfully before, but I think it is also a function of the kind of fabric: to wit, I have failed at this exercise before.

I've only used the ice it down method, though. Freezer would be cleaner.
