    Isiah and Dumars

if we are talking true PG and SG, as much as I don't like Isiah...it's these two.

or you could say Magic and anyone...including basketballholic in the backcourt with Magic

Maybe you should start reading your own thread title. No matter where you rate the Curry backcourt, the discussion is still regarding the best backcourt ever.

While Curry + Clay backcourt certainly wont be considered as best ever by many until they actually win something, to suggest not once, but twice, that a backcourt consisting of Kenny Smith might be better is ludicrous.

Like I said, you must have missed the 94 finals.

Kenny Smith had one skill set which was entirely predicated on what happens in the post.

Now try imagining a Curry + Clay backcourt with Hakeem post play.

    I go with Jordan/Magic + whoever.

    Isiah + Dumars
    Parker + Ginobili

heck, Pippen played point forward and often guarded PGs as well (Magic Johnson, Mark Jackson), so they were at least 3/4 of a backcourt.

no one's mentioned Dennis Johnson and Gus Williams when they were together in Seattle for a few years. they are the only backcourt outside of Cousy/Sharman to both be on an All-NBA team (back when there were only two teams). Frazier and Monroe never made the team together.

Rose and Butler are looking like they might make an argument over Curry and Thompson.
