Dunno, good point though with that logic Jack Haley is way better than Barkley.

Bad comparison, Barkley is far better than Parson and a HOFer

You said Ariza is better cause he has a ring, just using your logic.

Ariza was an elite role player for the Lakers.

    Haley was an elite cheerleader.

Parson was not let to go because Les was cheap. The idea was that you get Bosh then you can sign Parsons to whatever contract and Les was willing to go into massive Lux tax to get a championship. But without Bosh Morey correctly judged that with Parsons and no cap room this team wouldn't be a contender.

I just hate this false narrative. Lawson was cut because he sucked. Not any other reason.

Pure BS, made up hocus pocus stuff. That is what was said, however, you can't believe what people say you follow their actions.

They let Parsons walk because they did not want to pay him, it was a 2 year deal with a player option, they signed Ariza instead because he was cheaper even though he is not as skilled or as good as Parsons.

So, in essence they let a guy go that sabremetrics said they could replace his production with a cheaper undervalued guy.

It was another case of it being wrong - because numbers do not tell you everything like Ariza can't dribble or create for others, while Parsons can.

Anyway....I don't buy or drink the Kool aid, I follow the actions, more than the words.

Parsons tied up the Rockets long term, handcuffing them from getting better. With all his injuries, it is very tough to argue that we made the wrong decision.

Don't bother, some folks don't care about the truth, they care about narratives. And some folks can't comprehend how cap space and flexibility works.

You are correct, and the Rockets made the RIGHT decision. Parsons is overpaid and injury prone. Getting Ariza to fill in the 3 spot was a great move, but the Rockets failed to get another guy that can be a distributor on this team. That's what the rockets sorely lacked when Parsons left. He plays well off the ball, and can distribute. The problem is, it is clear that as long as Harden is here, that skill won't work from the PG position because James has the ball most of the time, unless the new head coach instills a complete new system. Not holding my breath on that.

This is all very well known and not at all disputed. However that means nothing to trolls.

sometimes you gotta make the business decision.

jlin was a must sign for the rockets audience abroad. can't deny that... but it's sad to see we couldve had a great guard in our back court who has some game - winning rings with the GSW

    ouch.

Ariza is a championship role player

    Parsons has no rings

    That's the bottom line

And DMo has heart and box outs, which is essentially equivalent to a ring anyway.

You guys keep on believing what is said and not the actions taken - it is one thing to say - sure we are gonna spend that money if we got Bosh - and another to actually do it.

When the organization ACTUALLY pays the going rate for a good role player, like championship orgs do, then I will believe it.

Until then, I am comfortable knowing that we are a cheaply run org, that let's important pieces walk for cheaper/lessor alternatives.

Of course, that is not what they say. It is what they do.
