I don't start many threads, but had to bring this up.
Anyone else notice that there were no yellow hankies thrown when Fitz and Savage both got injured, but when Crick contacted Luck's neck, he was penalized for "necking"?
Mods can delete this thread if they like, but these darn refs need to be consistent - even if Fitz and Savage are not Andrew Luck and Aaron Rogers.

Yep, said this in another thread. NFL has to step up and make their refs call the penalties. So many penalties vary widely from crew to crew, so if the NFL is going to make a rule, make sure that it is actually enforced and called every time. I'm so sick of refs picking and choosing.

Texans fans that go to games. Ugly, obnoxious, beer bellied, truck driving group of people, generally.

If the fans played, the Texans would win.

Savage hit was absolutely a penalty. Diving at a QBs leg period. Meanwhile over in the Atlanta game, Matt Ryan got DRILLED, absolutely DRILLED, right in the chest, no contact to the head or legs just a free running defender planting him with a perfectly legal tackle.... because the hit was hard, the ref threw the flag.

No consistency at all, the NFL has moved into the realm of the long despised NBA superstar calls.

    **** Goodell.

Don't get why penalties can't be reviewed. Specifically roughing the passer penalties.

Also the offensive push offs need to be enforced more strictly. If defensive pass interference gets you a potential 40 yards then OPI should be 15 yards and loss of down. Also widen the "pocket" so that intentional grounding gets called more. It's unfortunate that when Luck passed down the field I just recoiled like an army vet expecting the yellow flag for defensive holding or PI.

We have no capspace and we have a middling draft pick position?

They haven't even determined next year's salary cap. As of right now, they have, roughly, $9MM in cap space - but that's based off of a $138MM cap; it's expected to go up. (Rumor is as much as $7MM = $145MM which would put them $16MM under.)

With just two likely cuts (AJ and JJo), they could add another $18MM to the cap. $24MM if they also cut Myers.

So this idea that they have no cap space... that's just not true. They could be under as much as $40MM (not counting UFAs, like Kareem Jackson and Derek Newton)

The possibility of resigning these two should go on the list. Made all the greater because of potential cuts of JJo and Myers. :(
