Remember how much movement this offense had under Lowry and Dragic. That's why point guard should be the first, second, and really primary focus of the offseason.
Kevin McHale officially on the clock. No more excuses for this man. Now go out and bring us home a championship. The talent is there. The time is now.
This thread has existed for years now and he's still the coach with a brand new extension. You'd think certain member of clutchfans who constantly bump up this thread would take a hint.
Winning a championship takes a combination of talent + coaching + luck. I wouldn't blame McHale if we fell short of the championship. The only blame he'll get is if we underperform, something he's guilty of as our coach sans this year's playoff run. McHale has improved as the years go by, but not enough to maximize our talent. He still has plenty of areas to improve on. Unfortunately, we're stuck with him whether he gets better or not. I don't think he's a great coach. He's an average coach.
I think this will be the year when our offense looks very smooth. We haven't had a real offense running point guard in years (well Pablo, but yeah). Harden is a very good passer + playmaker, but he isn't a floor general that sets up the offense on a consistent basis (not yet anyways, he did show tons of growth there last year). The biggest issue with our offense was in the 4th quarter. We had a very poor net rating in the 4th quarters consistently because it get's easier to slow down offense when they revolve around one player. We now have a another player that can attack the rim and set up others in Lawson. That will help BIG TIME in the 4th quarters this year.
We actually run some decent sets albeit mostly for harden. I wish we ran some of those ray allen plays for Terry
Still hope we fire his incompetent, clueless a$$ away Perhaps we can package Keith Jones and Drexler too

600+ pages of hate. Even for 2015, that's pretty impressive, although I would have thought the hate would be directed at our rivals. Some folks can't ever be happy.
I think in a couple of years, McHale will hit the level of Scott Brooks within the organisation. Did a ok body of work, but the organisation obviously need to make changes to go further. I don't think the Rockets can win a championship with McHale. Unless Morey gets a 3rd star and the talent level on the Rockets is overwhelmingly better than the other Western conference playoffs teams. But the West is too stacked for that to happen.
