A little weary about how accurate it will portray Courtney Love and her role in his life considering she's a producer, but still looks good. Will see.
I feel like everything Nirvana has been seen and seen again. And ultimately there's just not that much compelling footage out there. Not much to work with.
Knowing that kind of kills it for me. It looks good but I don't think it will be accurate at all when it comes to her. I'm no ToyCen...but I think she is somehow responsible for his death.
Watched the trailer and got excited, until I read this. Massively disappointed that this project would be under her control. Even if by just a small fraction
Very good documentary and I learned alot about Kurt and how truly F up his teen years were. I grew up in the 90's but was more of Linkin Park fan and occasionally would listen to Nirvanna. I want to go back and listen but don't know where to start. Suggestions? ps Courtney Love looked like a meth-out Drew Barrymore.
Oh and regarding the film, how did they get Cobain to do the voice-over commentary for the cartoons? Was it from an interview or something?
I like nirvana and always thought Kurt was cool but I could barely watch this. I don't want to watch a film with home videos of him ****ed up on drugs with his wife(literally looked like breaking bad meth addicts) about to drop his baby girl cause he's so ****ed up and falling asleep holding her, and b****ing because he got to famous. Idk I can't stand the "feel sorry for me cause I got super famous and started doing drugs" type of celebrities. Like my roommate acted like he was inspired from watching a dude on drugs and destroying his life
I watched it and enjoyed it, although parts were very tough to watch. The note Kurt wrote to Dave about how he needs to quit his job so they can practice more was pretty awesome. Not a huge Nirvana fan, but I definitely respect their place in history.
As someone who grew up with Nirvana, this was great to watch. Looking back on how childish the music was, and Cobain was ("I hate you mom and dad!"). He comes off as pathetic in the documentary, like a whiny Holden Caufield. Makes you want to slap him the whole time.
