I was referencing the Lawson and DMo trades. We could have had the 12th and 18th picks in this year's draft. just weird the way things work out. Two years ago DMo was a top rated prospect and Lawson was thought to be well worth a late 1st round pick.

Agreed Jones deserves another chance; he's only 25. I think he'll do well in New Orleans. I've always thought he was immensely talented. Will be rooting for him, but I'm bitter that we lost him for nothing. 2 yrs ago we could have gotten a 1st rounder for him.

Maybe you don't think that, but the NBA does

Sorry forgot about it. What went wrong with the Lawson trade?

Sorry but I think the NBA also does not want to give him a multi year offer easily.

Maybe a very bad managed team will do it.

We'll see, I do agree that Jones was smart to take the league minimum deal in NO, it's a LOT more money than he'll get playing overseas once the Pels cut him.

It is not about money any more dude, what issues we have with either player, lay it to rest.

Both will struggle to be healthy. I just hope the best for them.

Both have fallback options if it does not work out in the NBA.

China for Jones very likely and Dmo can return to Spain or other leagues in Europe.

European clubs pay very well as well. You can see it with Llull, Llull does not want to come over.

Pretty much everything, but I guess it can be boiled down to we got Lawson.

Now I got it. He meant we lost a good pick for Lawson. :(

Another indicator that DMo is gone in sign-and-trade unless he signs with us below market.

Speculation...but I am hoping for a sign and trade. With Beasley and RA, what room is for DMO? Can probably get some solid assets for him

    Below market value?

Has he been offered a deal?

Has he signed an offer sheet?

The market dictates his worth and it is now August 10th and he hasn't signed.

we saw what assets Dmo was able to get Houston with Detroit at the deadline. tbh the best thing to do is to find a way to keep him and see how he does for this team instead of getting very little in return

If DMO didn't get any strong contract offers from others teams you'd have to surmise the Rockets won't get a heck of a lot back in a sign and trade.

    1. When offseason starts... D-Mo will get a huge, multi-year contract. You'll see!

    2. Players get huge contracts left and right... Someone will offer a huge contract to D-Mo. You'll see!

    3. Weeks go by and still no word... D-Mo is just waiting for the Rockets to finish signing their last rookie before he signs. You'll see!

    4. Rocket signs last drafted rookie and D-Mo is still unsigned... D-Mo is going to sign a huge SnT offer!. You'll see!

    5. Weeks past since then... This gives me the impression that D-Mo will be signing a SnT! You'll see!

Methinks something is full of **** as usual...
