I'm been impressed by Peja being able to get off shots very quickly with little space, since his trade to my team, the Pacers.

Who has the quickest release in the NBA?

    Redd?
    Allen?
    Peja?
    somebody else?

    How about all time--

    Bird?
    Reggie Miller?
    Dale Ellis?

you wise guys can say that the quickest release is Penny Hardaway, by the Magic!

You have to have Eddie House on that list. Its crazy how fast he gets off his shots

    Id probably have

    #1. Redd
    #2. House
    #3. Allen
    #4. Peja

I'd say Redd is quickest now.

My memory may be a little inaccurate now, but I remember Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf having one of the quickest releases I'd ever seen.

Agreed...all-time, wasn't Dell Curry considered a quick shooter?

Shawn Marion. As ugly as his shot is, its a quick release.

I 2nd this. Marion doesn't finish his shot, that why it's so quick and odd looking.

I agree. Even in his last years in Toront. Man, he was quick. He only needs a tiny space, and shoots beautifully.

as soon as i saw the thread title i thought of dell curry. unbelievable how quick he could get it off. it's like he caught the ball already up around his shoulders and then just flicked his wrist. i never understood how he could have so much accuracy that way but he did. ellis was also amazing but a tiny bit slower than curry, imo.

right now, i'm not sure. eddie house and redd are the quickest i can think of off the top of my head.

Except that shot was NOT made in time, the Lakers got friendly clocks on that one.

that's not the way i remember it. the clock started as soon as fisher caught it and he got it off as close to the red light as possible.
