I'd think a PG like Mario Chalmers would be more realistic and I wouldn't mind a Bev/Harden/Chalmers backcourt.
Wow you think the Bucks will give us both Knight and Ilyasova for our bench players and a 2nd round pick?
The funniest thing about this is that the OP said we might not have to give that much up but he was being generous.
Does that trade offer come with a rape kit? Seriously, I'll never understand how people think some of these trade ideas are even remotely realistic Ty Lawson is my #1 trade target but I don't think we can get him.
I had a vivid dream. That after Houston Rocket won the 2015 NBA championship. Durant AND Love opt out and signs with Rox. Les might go cheap and refuse to sign Love even thou Love is requesting for a mid level contract.
What happened to them days where good to great PG's were a dime a dozen. Seems like it was just yesterday. They seem to be at a premium now not only in terms of price but quantity available. I'd be willing to give up quite a bit for a chance at Ty Lawson. I really think he could be the missing piece towards a Championship..... More so than Dragic. We honestly have a 1 year or 2 year window with the way things are right now to get it done (Dwight's future is uncertain, Ariza, Brewer, Smith are all temporary pieces, Jet is running on his last legs etc.) and this year I truly believe at least 6 different teams could win it all. OKC is in a deep hole and they have to player hard and expend a lot of energy and effort just to get in, Cavs may need at least another year to dominate, Warriors, Clips, Memphis etc have a chance but are uncertain and SA will be there but any of the 3 previous teams I mentioned can beat them. I think we're just outside that 6. With Ty Lawson running the engine we would definitely be a legit TITLE Contender. I'd be willing to give up TJ+ NO Pick + filler/cash/2nd rounder or maybe even a future 1st. Whatever to get it done. My point is I believe Lawson is the answer.
Understand something: It doesn't take much to make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. Two teams are unofficially out of the running: New York and Philadelphia. Everybody outside of that is fair game and arguably a deadline move or two away from potentially qualifying. Hell, a team 7 games under .500 would be the #8 seed in the playoffs started today. Teams like Milwaukee aren't just going to give up key pieces for scraps. It's not the way it works. Sadly, our best options for an established PG upgrade are in the Western Conference. Mainly, Lawson and Dragic. You could probably make a case for Collison as well. But I'd be shocked if we traded for an established PG from the Eastern Conference.
I think Brandon Knight would also help our post defense tremendously. He isn't afraid to sacrifice himself for the team. http://youtu.be/Fh0AQw3WFkE
