fireworks

    why are the going off? they've been popping for the last 10 minutes. i'm in uptown, and it appears they're coming from the memorial city area

    I'm hearing it too hear in NW houston. It just quit. It was a continous booming
    for at least a good ten minutes. I don't know what the hell it was.

    Sounded like a war zone here near the Memorial City area....wtf? War zone....fireworks, who knows?

    That was nuts. Any clue on what it was? I live in the Memorial City area (Bunker Hill Village) and it just ended. No visual conformation on fireworks, though...

    I went outside...only saw minimal lighting of the night sky, too...

    it's very strange?

    It's either UT fans or Sooner alumnis...but not Red Raider fans cause their guns would be empty...

    Yeah. I can't figure it out. It sounded like the bombing of baghdad. Or a war in space.

    Man I was also wondering what that was! Lasted for a good 10 minutes. I kept thinking it was my neighbors shooting off guns or something. I'm in the Heights.

    I just called Spring Valley Police Department...she claims fireworks somewhere in Houston, south of I-10.

    A major 15 minute firework show in Houston that no one knew about?

    If it was some sort of factory explosion, wheres the emergency sirens? I haven't heard one.

    I think that was some sort of upper atmosphere phenemenon.

    there was a large meteor in Canada tonight. who knows?? it's definitely over, though.....FOR NOW!!!

    i saw the fireworks from my backyard... my house was shaking it was so loud.

    You Houston dwellers are not alone. I was in my back yard in central Austin and got to watch about 15 minutes of fireworks behind the field for no apparent reason. Did Luke kill Vader? I didn't hear Yub Nub?
