Both players lacked help from their teammates to advance in the playoffs. Both ended their last games of the season via ejection. It's clear both players are disgruntled. Now, given the miracle that one of these guys would like to play for the Rockets, which one would you rather have? Yes, I understand (while unlikely) that there's a possibility we can sign both. This is simply a hypothetical to provoke discussion. Would you rather have Chris Paul replace Jeremy Lin? OR Would you rather have Dwight Howard replace Omer Asik?
None I'd rather keep the same team we have, but upgrade the PF spot to someone who can actually play PF
Dwight hands down. We don't need another ball dominant guard. We need someone who can bang in the paint and get easy buckets.
CP3 He's the better player, we need help at the point guard position a lot more, he's a better leader, he's a better locker room guy, he's a better draw for other players to come here.
I'm positive CP3 will be a Clipper next season. He denied the extension so he could sign a better deal with the Clippers this offseason.
Both! Trade Asik and Lin. Renounce Delfino and Garcia's rights. That should get us close enough to being able to offer near max deals to both. I love Asik's heart and Lin showed improvement until recently but you renounce both of them in order to get the next big three. I think this is the plan. It is nearly a 0% chance it happens but if anyone can do it is Morey.
I think Dwight Howard would fill a bigger position of need for us. While Asik is great, Dwight would be that post presence we desperately need. He would be fantastic in the pick & roll and would score on the passes that Asik fumbles. Can he be relied on in the 4th? CP3 is the best PG in the league, but we already have solid play out of our guards. He is capable of taking over a basketball game in a way that only LeBron, KD, and a couple others can do. He would win us a lot of games in the 4th, where Dwight would be a liability. I'd probably go with Howard.

Both. CP3 and Dwight have had zero playoff success with two teams that were expected to go much, much further. Houston on the other hand were getting **** on in every season preview ranking imaginable and they took the #1 seed to 6 games. Dwight and CP3 have wanted to play together in the past. Both are in their primes. Miami Heat part 2. They are taking their talents to Houston. Morey will do whatever he can to clear up enough cap space. Houston will be contenders again.
Can someone give us a realistic scenario on how we could get both? Also, include our Team Salary and who else we could realistically add as fillers. TIA
