Never hear much about this guy which is what i like most. People we never hear much about usually step up big for us. I think Flynn will bounce back and have his best season giving minutes. <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/H-zbeWiirdU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Like Morey said, Flynn has a long way to go before he beats Dragic out for minutes. He was literally one of the worst players in the NBA last season. The good thing is he has a great attitude which will hopefully help him improve. An improved Flynn will be useful if we’re unable to retain Dragic after next season.
Does anyone else think that that video having a song in which the featured lyrics are "it was all a dream" is a bit ironically discouraging, given that it's about his first 20 games in the NBA?
Actually, wasn't it announced shortly after the trade that Flynn would really have to prove something to take those minutes? I remember reading something that Kyle and Goran were still definite 1&2 unless something magical went down in training camp... I know I'm not taking crazy pills here, if I find where I got that from I'll repost...
No. He sucked. I've said it over and over again. Remember Brooks? How terrible he played last year? Flynn was even worse than that Brooks last year. Now there's a better shot Flynn gets it together compared to Brooks. But it's not something I'm going to head my breath on, and as of right now, he definitely should not be over Dragic.
Yeah, he missed a lot of time, (first 24 games, not “most" a.k.a. majority of the season), but he was truly awful when he came back. That was a major hip surgery he had, though, so that probably had a lot to do with it. Hopefully this full off season of rest will help make a full recovery.
I don’t really see anyone overrating Dragic, they’re just saying Flynn is currently a lot worse. Kojirou seems to watch both teams closely so I’d take his word for it.
Morey and les are way high on dragic during a interview with les while sitting courtside in the broadcast booth les called dragic " fearless" and being fearless does not get a back seat to johnny flyn.
he's also inconsistant. i remember he used to shoot the suns out of winning basketball games all the time during the regular season.
