I'm not talking playing a full game just 5-7 minutes.

    Here's my points on this

    • It's a stress fracture, not a full on break ... Tape it up, take a shot and get out there ... He already played a quarter on it (And that was without it being taped or doped up)
    • He is going to get injured each year anyway, i think that is established ... At what point in the future will he be closer than he is right now.
    • Kevin McHale played on a broken foot in the finals
    • He would instantly Rocket to the top of Houston sports icons
    • Football players do it and that is a far more physical game

Seriously, i do not think it could get much more dramatic and game changing than if he came out Willis Reed style ... Dont warm up, dont practice, just come in when Crawford inevitably give Hayes 2 quick fouls.

I think it would be awesome

Deke is really done and so is Tracy ... But Yao COULD do it

man if he does suit up somehow someway, I dont want to hear anymore of this "should we re-sign Yao crap ever again".

But I trully doubt it will happen.

I agree with you. Have him pull a Willis Reed moment. Its now or never.

What if we see from the tunnel, #1, #11 and # 55 walking to the court with their jerseys on. Wow! That would be epic. lol

    Tracy is done
    Deke is done

Yao played a quarter on the foot already, and it wasn't prepared properly. If it was taped up and some meds, he would be fine.

Football players have played with broken bones. This is a stress fracture, NOT a break

I think it will only do more harm than good. So no.

    1. He's injured, and you how painfully he was limping in game 3 before he came out. Even if he could play for a 5 minutes, that will be what, 50% of his usual self? Then, what's the point of this?

    2. You don't want to mess with chemistry. Not saying the rest of the guys don't like to play with Yao, just you are messing the flow of the game, by change your game plan to fit that 50% Yao in, for 5 mins.

    So, no way.

So its not about the moral boost, you are talking about ACTUALLY playing and being effective?? wow...

So you want to play an already injure proned player while injured?

And regardless, we've beat LA twice now without Yao, alot having to do with our speed. Yao is slow enough without the injury, with it he would just be asking to get punished.

If we're going to give him a max contract, I'd rather he play as much as possible in the future. Playing on a stress fracture now will do further damage.

    Pass.

We should try to get him coming out of the tunnel at the 10 minutes mark in the 4th. Everyone in Staples will be scared S*itless. Then Yao procedes to rip off his pregame jacket like that of Hulk Hogan and checks in the game.

    It's about both ...

He is going to continues to get these injuries, regardless ... Use this opportunity to get as close to the ring as we can.

He has the entire offseason to heal

The Fakers would attack Yao with Pau quickness on offense. Yao was too slow in the first 3 games against Pau, what you think would happen with his injury? Then it would confuse our offensive plan.

Absolutely not! You don't risk his future for one game.

We are 1 of 3 with Yao. We are 2 of 3 w/out Yao.
