it seems like youre saying that when the rockets win by a small margin it doesnt really count because its luck or maybe even a miracle. and you also seem to believe that the team they beat is probably better than them, because the rockets barely even won.

 

i really really want to know how morey evaluates mental side of the ball.

Good example but not in your favor.
Wade and Shaq. Harden and Howard. Your implying Wade didn't have the it factor after shaq left because he didn't win afterwards. I'm saying he won while he did have the help. Harden and Howard need to win now. Harden still has plenty of years left, hopefully with no injuries, but Howard is a question because of how much he relies on athleticism, can he transition?

Subtomic, the IT factor is weird though. It's not the same in everybody. Kobe, lebron, Wade have tenacity. The same tenacity that took DH12 to the finals. Curry has confidence on another level, same confidence that makes Harden so clutch.
They have the IT factor, it just wasn't coached well, imo. A coach like Kerr tells Curry. Your a fantastic shooter. Shoot it if you got it, don't think twice, and there you go. A coach like Thibs, can bring defensive schemes that can make Howard a MVP on defense again, resurrecting his inner IT.

 

It's a reflection of the coaching staff, imo. This team needs an entirely new coaching staff. Isn't Bickerstaff and the other assistants the ones who have always come up with the plays? Or the majority of them? Or lack there of?

I understand Harden is a superstar and has put up huge numbers across the board, but it's sort of a catch 22. Now he has to maintain these numbers and it's killing the Rockets. They will not win anything with no system in place, and Harden is not a good enough defender to do it all on his own. In that aspect, he's no Lebron.
