These young guys need to lay off the twitter soundboard.

It's rarely a good look when things get emo.

This is interesting. I had hoped Asik's offensive rebounding would make the Twin Towers work. Any idea why it works for Faried and didn't work for Asik?

Perhaps it's because Faried can catch the ball? Asik has butterfingers and is a little stiff on offense, Faried is much more of a finisher with his dunking ability and quickness.

In my opinion it's because Asik is basically a stationary rebounder and the guys like Wallace, Rodman, Faried and Harrell rely on a lot of movement when they rebound.

While Asik was a very good offensive rebounder, he needed to be near the basket to be effective at it. Leaving Asik open on the perimeter and allowing him a running/rolling start at an offensive rebound isn't something that is typically going to cost opposing teams.

Because of that you end up with the situation where either Asik is positioned close to the basket but it clogged things up for Howard or you move Asik away from the rim and the defense can double off of him. When Asik was away from the rim and the shot went up he wasn't quick enough or agile enough to beat everyone else to the rim.

If you give Faried, Wallace, Rodman and Harrell type guys an open lane to the rim then they're likely going to get a high number of the missed shots.

Had to bump this from 2 years ago when we first drafted Montrezl. I saw his potential back then and he hasn't disappointed.

He has potential to become Strodmire, it depends how he wants to shoot more offensively and grad more rebounds

Games like this make me hesitant to give him up for more size.

Can't wait to watch this team with both Clint and Pretzl. Putting Clint back in is gonna be tough for the other opponents.. he adds so much verticality to Rox BBall... that pick and roll is gonna make us unguardable.. now that we got burn time on our outside shooting... a motion inside out offense.
