He may have been a one year wonder, but so was Mario Williams when he was drafted.

Honestly how many Illinois games have you seen? He was forecast to be picked around 22 so it sounds like a decent pick.

No recap of wade's interview? wish you'd done one, as always a classic line

    Mastermind Wade on the merciless,
"they say one year wonder. Why they didn't play them the year before that's what i'm wondering."
" Love his hands, great arms. self motivated."

Pancakes says: When the Texans go to nickel defense, Brian Cushing and Mercilus playing behind Connor Barwin, Brooks Reed, J.J. Watt and Antonio Smith with five defensive backs giving thanks for a front six like that.

Pump the brakes. I like the pick too, but let's not go overboard. He hasn't proven a thing yet.

In what way does did Aldon Smith separate himself as a prospect from Mercilus?

As prospects, they look almost identical on the day of their respective drafts. Only you would have to combine Smiths last 2 years.

I don't expect Mercilus to match Smiths rookie year, but In Wade's 3-4 he very well COULD match it.

Next year we play against great QBs, the texans pick Mercilus, a pass rusher.

Best possible scenario played out for the Texans. I wanted an OLB.

    This guy better be great.

We have had like one offensive 1st round pick in the past 9 years (Duane Brown). The rest of the draft better address the offense somehow.

I wonder if theyre that excited because he got picked by the texans? Or just the fact that hes officially drafted?

This is what ClutchFans would look like if Clutch removed the emoticon board from Swoly-D.
