A lot of Dulles alums in here. I'm representing the OGs of the Bicentennial Class of '76.

    So happy for Dee

Dude has a true killer's mentality, and competes on every play (on both ends). He has a great crafty intermediate game, and a ton of range. Athletically he's lacking, but at 6'3"ish and around 210 lbs, he fits into our vision of a PG next to Harden. If he's worked on tightening up his handle, he should do quite well in Summer League.

You must have not watched him play much than. He rebounds hustles and can score penetrating inside. He doesn't just run around and shoot 3s. Is he a true PG probably not but he's def not "just a shooter"

He was too passive his senior year, and he seemed too worried about getting hurt and passing the torch to Rysheed Jordan. Plus he actually allowed sir dominic pointer to do more than him on that St John's team. He shouldn't have allowed himself to be downsized by his coach to being off the ball, but he did what he had to do to get back on the team after being kicked off. He actually should have declared by when JaKarr Sampson did, but he did get his degree.

The result of that was Sir Dom got drafted and Dangelo Harrison didn't.

I feel like you have some personal issues with him for some reason. Why are you so negative towards a potential that's only on a summer league team?

    FIRST IMPRESSION:

    1. John Starks - in spirit, demeanor, and fight. Similar sized. And his jumper goes down but it sure clangs iron. Starks was like that.

    2. Vinnie Johnson - in how he probes the defense and finds the soft spot for those little 5-10 foot jumpers down below the FT line. Vinnie made a career out of those. And those are all good, high-percentage semi-mid-range shots. You didn't hardly see him take the long 2's. But those little 5-10 footers are just outside the range of the rim protector(s). When a guy can knock those down on the pull-up, that's extremely beneficial to a team. Just keeps the D so off-balance. Harrison's got that shot down cold.

    3. Mark Aguirre - not as big of course but his body type is kinda penguiny like Aguirre, big through the hips and smaller in the shoulders. He uses it like Aguirre did to, getting defenders on his hip and using that contact to create just little ribbons of space for his finishes. Very, very effective and he gets to the FT line very well.

    4. Jay Williams (Duke) - in his passing. A little more mundane and plain than Jay Williams was, but very good at drawing the defensive attention and finding guys for jump shots or finishes. Not fancy but effective.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

In my opinion, he's got to prove himself physically. It's obvious he lacks athleticism, is not the quickest player, nor is he fast. So, he'll have to prove his game among NBA athletes. But he's got the requisite skill level worthy of being given a shot.

    Rooting for him.
