Blows the Wide open uncontested layup. And to think we had a huge discussion about getting this guy.
I'm not one of Reddick's biggest fans, but I don't see what the big deal is. He came up short on a layup attempt. It happens.
I've seen guys blow some really wide open layups/dunks. Smush Parker completely blew a wide open layup on the clear path fastbreak. No one was in front of him. Julian Wright also blew one. It was even more embarassing because he fell on his face. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3fWwtB9GJ4
David Wesley, anyone? <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cvOm7dPS0Uw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cvOm7dPS0Uw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Anybody remember Kevin Ollie finger-rolling a layup backwards over his own head in OT of 2002 playoffs against the Nets. After the loss Miller was pissed and said "I should have never passed the ball"
Well, to be fair, do you know what else he's doing? Getting 6.0 PPG on 0.53 TOPG and bad, but not terrible FG (40% 2FG and 37.5% 3FG). He's leaps and bounds above pretty much any of our scrubs, and he's a rookie, so the hell yes I want him. ...But yeah, airballing a wide open layup...eh. Eh.
The video would be over 100 minutes long if we were to string together all Rafer's and Luther's layup misses this year.
The Wesley one wasn't entirely his fault. The bounce pass came too late, as he was already right under the basket and moving forward.
