That's great news, but I always assumed he'd be good long before the season.

 

Doing a backflip doesn't put a lot of stress on your back if you're landing on a soft surface like water 2 feet below you. Back is just the direction you're flipping, the rotation is primarily done with your stomach muscles, now he does throw his head back which can put some stress on the back but not really the lumbar region. If this was right after surgery I'd be concerned but he's been healing enough to mess around a bit.
